The Nativity Story Movie Blasphemous and Sacrilegious

We got that movie The Nativity Story some years back, when it came out on DVD.  We watched it once, then trashed it.  It was a very protestant-oriented movie.  That, and it had no plot to speak of.  It just ended abruptly with the flight into Egypt.

But the biggest problem, as the priest notes below, was the depiction of Our Blessed Mother as being afflicted with the pangs of labor.  This is heresy.  Labor pains were inflicted on women due to the stain of Original Sin caused by our first mother.  But Our Lady was preserved from Original Sin.  She, thus, had no labor pains.  This may seem like a small thing, but that just shows how inured to blasphemy and sacrilege we’ve become.  That’s why I say the movie is pretty protestant oriented, they treat Our Lady as just a lucky woman what happened to done birth her…
